Some more Shandy’s happenings…
We had a meeting with our fabulous Caron Palmer from Hound + Steed, she does all our marketing bits and some IT, as we recognise our limits and these are definitely not ours, whereas Caron specializes in everything branding and marketing, we appreciate her very much.
Traveled down to Timaru on Friday for the King’s Birthday Timaru Artisan Farmers Market, Andy had a good morning, if not a little chilly after we left our clothes bag at home and unfortunately he had worn shorts for the trip down and it was 3degrees on Saturday morning in Timaru....hardy bugger that Andy! On the other hand Sharon had a bike ride planned so was the best dressed rider in town. Lesson learnt!!
With the popularity of our fresh mushrooms in the recent weeks and the interest in our mushroom powder, the Timaru Artisan Farmers Market attendees actually bought the last of our Native Oyster Mushroom Powder, so Sharon will have to adjust all things mushroom to keep up with the growing interest in these most fantastic products, our customers will definitely be feeling the benefits of having this superfood in their diets.
Home Front
New freezer, yes another one 6 in total now, to house all the produce for the fabulous Shandy's Homemade Sauces, it takes a lot of planning and guess work to get enough produce to keep our customers supplied with their favourite sauce or cordial until the next fruiting season which is up to 6 months away. As locally grown produce is definitely the best.
As mentioned Sharon will be adjusting all things native oyster mushroom to keep up with growing interest in all things mushroom.
Andy will be back in the kitchen as he has to keep up with weekly sales of sauces at South Christchurch Farmers Market, the Riverside Pantry, Oxford Butchery, the Darfield Post Shop and of course those that take advantage of it being delivered to their door from our online shop.
He will also stocking up for the Southern Crafters July Market on the 22nd and the 23rd of July in the ILT Stadium in Invercargill, we already have customers online from the south so this will be a great opportunity to offer others our awesome homemade, homegrown goodies.
