What’s been happening this week at Shandy’s!

Andy has had some awesome events with customers really supporting our little business.

Sharon is very happy with the trials with the NZ Lions Mane with customers heading home with beautiful clusters of the amazing looking NZ Lions Mane, which has phenomenal health benefits, so looking forward to regular supplies of that.

The trials continue with the home grow kits, Sharon was not happy with the quality of the mushrooms that they were producing so have changed a few things, so watch this space, when she finally gets it right, they will be fabulous!

At Home

Sharon had a go at Camembert Cheese with great success, so with a few tweeks another batch is underway.  Also had a go at Kombucha which wasn't as successful but nothing that can't be changed for the next fermentations, which is also underway.

The calves are shrinking in number with only 38 left and after Saturday there will only be 13. They are enjoying the improved weather.

In the Garden

We thought we were going to get away without rust on the garlic this year but it appeared about 10 days ago, lucky they are well developed and it won't affect the end size of the bulbs. 

Finally e have the Tomatoes in the tunnel house and somehow they weren't affected by two heavy late frosts. Which did take out the pumpkins!!

Anticipating an exciting 2024 with some big events and a launch of a new product in February.

Andy and Sharon would like to Thank everyone so much for all the support we have received in the first few years of Shandy's and we wish everyone an awesome Christmas and New Years and we hope you all have a well deserved rest.
